The striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena) is one of the key carnivores in Nepal, facing severe threats due to habitat loss, human conflict, and persecution. This research project aims to:
- Explore the suitable habitat, diet analysis and estimate the population of hyena in lowland regions of Nepal.
- Develop community conservation awareness programs highlighting the species ecological role.
- Promote the hyena conservation work at the local level.
